What items do you accept in the Adult & Home Décor Sale?

We will accept men and women’s adult clothing (all seasons!) with a maximum of 10 hanging items per gender. Bring us your 10 best things!

We accept kitchenware, bakeware, glassware, sporting equipment, lawn and garden tools, and home décor items including furniture! If you have questions about a specific item type, please email us.

We have a limit of 10 pairs of adult shoes (sizes 7 and up)

We no longer accept Adult DVDs.

Adult books are limited to 10.

We only accept electronics from the last 5 years.

Do you accept all clothing brands?

We prefer the more upscale, department store and boutique brands. Please no Target or Walmart brand clothing.

I have big piece of furniture, will it sell at Encores?

Furniture is always very popular! Pricing is key, so price higher than a garage sale, but lower than retail. Price to sell so you don’t have to move it back into your home.

I have a pair of dress shoes that I don’t want to put a safety pin thru and can’t figure out how to attach them to each other, what do I do?

Shoes can be tricky! Especially women’s dress shoes. We recommend either tying them tightly together with ribbon or zip tie them together. Attach the tag with a safety pin thru the ribbon or zip tie, with a piece of tape over the safety pin.

I have curtains, how do I package them to sell?

We find that curtains sell better when they are hung on hangers. Be sure to pin them securely so they don’t end up on the floor. It’s helpful to add measurements to the tag as well. Ziploc bags are not recommended since shoppers like to look at them.

Do you accept health & beauty items?

Yes! We ask that items be NEW and unopened. We accept shampoos, lotions, face creams, makeup and other health and beauty products.

Do you accept jewelry?

Yes. We ask that you not bring extremely valuable jewelry to the sale. Costume jewelry sells well. Package jewelry attached to cardstock and inside a ziploc bag. Be sure to secure the bag with clear tape to prevent shoppers from opening the bag.

Do you accept framed art?

Yes! We accept framed art, both big and small. We suggest attaching the tag to the FRONT of the item using painter’s tape or masking tape so that the price is easily seen by shoppers (especially for larger pieces that might be up on a shelf).
