Drop Off & Pick Up FAQ

Do I need an appointment to drop off my items?

No appointment needed! If you are in a rush, we recommend you come during our slower times - NOT the first or last hour of drop off.

Do I have to put my own stuff out, or will you do that for me?

We will inspect all your clothing items and shoes and ask that you put them out by size. All other items will be inspected at the check-in station and our volunteers will put these items out for you. If you have a large piece(s) of furniture, leave it in your vehicle until you have checked in and let the staff know what furniture you have and they will advise you what location to place it!

How do I get all my items inside? Can I take a rolling clothing rack outside?

We ask that you do not take the rolling racks out to the parking lot. We have plenty of shopping carts that you are welcomed to take out to your car and then transfer items to the rolling racks when you come inside.

What kind of container should I use to bring all my toys, shoes, books and home décor items to drop off?

We highly recommend cardboard boxes that you can leave behind. If it is a busy drop off time, this allows you to leave the box for us to keep and not have to wait while we unload your plastic tub. You are welcomed to bring a plastic tub, but we ask that you take it with you when you leave.

Will there be people available to help me lift/unload heavy furniture?

We can not guarantee that we will have staff available to help you unload heavy items. Please plan accordingly.

What do I need to bring with me to drop off?

We will need to know your consignor number (it will be printed on all of your tags) and will ask that you drop off a self-addressed, stamped envelope for us to mail your check to you. All registration fees will be deducted from your earnings check, no payment up front.

How do I know what items I need to pick up?

You will need to login to your consignor account and manually compare your inventory to items sold (this is not automatically updated!). This will show you what items are left. We recommend that you wait to print and do the comparison on Sunday morning of pick up. This allows our team time to upload totals from the last day of sales and will give you the most accurate information.

How do I find all of my things at pick-up?

All children’s clothing will be sorted by consignor number into the individual sizes. This means if you had a girls dresses in size 6 and 8, you will need to visit both size sections to look for items within your consignor number. All children’s toys and electronics will be sorted into one section by consignor number. All other items will be unsorted. You will need to visit each department for the items that you brought.

We recommend you allow plenty of time for pickup if you have numerous items to locate.

What if I cannot come during the pick-up time? Will my items be available to pick up later?

Unfortunately, no. After the pick-up time for both sales, we have our Dollar Dash event. All items left behind are available for purchase during this event. After the Dollar Dash, Thrift Smart will pick up any remaining items.
